Jennifer Read has been providing business consulting services to the electronics industry for 25 years. After practicing law in Colorado, she was most recently vice president of marketing at Technology Forecasters, and director of marketing communications at Avnet Electronics Marketing. Before that she was editor and publisher of Connection Technology (now Connector Specifier) and Electrical Manufacturing magazines. She has edited and written hundreds of articles covering electronics manufacturing and business issues.

Doreen Patterson brings a wealth of operations experience from the OEM side to Charlie Barnhart & Associates. She has held a variety of senior management roles, primarily within Material Planning and Supply Chain Management. She started her career with Tektronix in operations and then left to lend her talents to several successful start-up companies, including Mentor Graphics and Photon Kinetics. She subsequently became part of Sun Microsystems’ senior management team where she was involved in a number of roles including design and implementation of Sun’s first venture into full system outsourcing, designing supply chain processes and leading a Commodity Management team.

Kumkum Dalal provides consulting services for companies doing business in India. Kumkum was born and brought up in Kolkata (previously known as Calcutta) and earned a BSc. (Honors) in Anthropology from Delhi University. She came to the United States as a graduate student and obtained Master’s degrees in Sociology at the University of Kansas and Computer Science at Northern Illinois University. She has spent more than 25 years in corporate America, 18 of those working for AT&T Bell Labs and Lucent Technologies in Naperville, Illinois. While her early experience includes software development and substantial experience in software processes, most of her recent professional experience has been in the business arena, doing product management, vendor relations and new business development. She retired from Lucent Technologies as a ‘C’ level manager in 2001 and launched Global Reach Consulting, Inc. in 2003.

Charis Rose has a degree in political science and has worked in market research and analysis. She brings her organization skills to Charlie Barnhart & Associates in the role of Project Manager, and ably performs administrative and communications assignments for the organization.
